Run the Payfast Recon process

Verify EFT payments

If the race allowed EFT payments verify that the orders had been marked as Complete.

On the WooCommerce Order screen all orders awaiting EFT confirmation will be in the On-Hold status. Use the sort function at the top of the screen to filter on this state.

Use the Complete button on the list view, or open the order and change the status to Completed, then select Update.

Remove duplicate orders

In some cases a user was interrupted while processing his order and then resumes later, resulting in an additional order being created. The abandoned order is usually in the Cancelled state. The incorrect orders will have to be moved to the bin (trash), so that it will not cause duplicate entries.

Remove duplicate/stale entries

When an order process is initiated a corresponding entry is created for the transaction. If the transaction is never completed, abandoned or deleted by the customer the entry record, flagged as draft, remains. We do this in case the participant then arrives and claims they have entered.

When the customer then creates a new transaction a new entry is created. Often a person is then entered twice or more, one entry is completed and the others are cancelled. The entries related to these cancelled orders should now be deleted.
