Results

Results has to be produced for display or print, and could range from individual results to race results. This section deals with the use cases for displaying results, with an initial focus on track results

Match Sprint

The Race has a RaceType of MatchSprint, with multiple Rounds, for instance;

      • StartGroup: For Bronze and For Gold heats - 2 persons each

Qualifier

This is the first Round with a name of "Qualifying". All participants for the Race is loaded into the Qualifier as RoundParticipants.

Each Participant is assigned to its own StartGroup, as they all start individually and we require to record the start time per person.

The Result contains both the final time and the 100m and 100m-200m split times (if available). An note can be placed next to each split, indicating the order of split time across all participants. If the same split time is recorded, they have the same order number. The next number in is assigned to the next longer time (so do not skip a number to compensate for re-using the same order number).

Technical Note: Result requires meta fields to support the additional values mentioned above.

The Race result list will order the Results based on duration in descending order. The number of qualifying Participants will be marked as Qualified. The Qualified indicator can be added as meta data.

Rounds

Based on the outcome of the Qualifier the Participant is assigned to the relevant Round, i.e. the first few usually to the semis and the remainder to the quarter finals.

Rounds with a single ride

For Rounds with a single Ride, such as 1/16 finals and 1/8 finals, the Round is divided into several Heats, represented by a StartGroup, for 2 Participants at a time.

The Results list the Heats. The outcome of the Heat, for each 2 riders, are group together on the Results page.

The Round appear on the Program as a ProgramEntry.

Rounds with multiple rides

The quarter, semi and finals all have multiple rides (best of 3), i.e. First Ride, Second Ride and Decider. These are created as seperate Rounds under this Round.
