Roof
The roof should be usable for equipment, solar panels and as an observation deck.
Solar panels
Solar panels could provide additional power during operation. However, a compromise needs to be made with the need for an observation deck.
Panels must be positioned flat during transportation to minimise damanage and drag.
Ideally the panels should be tilted towards the sun at an angle.

Observation deck
A deck would enable the announcer(s) or time keeper(s) to sit on the roof.
The deck does not need to cover the full surface area of the roof. It is recommended that it is placed aft of the van.
Guard rails should protect people on the deck, with a ladder providing access to the deck.
The weight of the deck should be transferred via vertical steel supports, which meets the chassis to offload the weight from the walls. The weight must be distributed to the jacks.
Telescopic antenna
An UHF/VHF and/or cellphone antenna could be hoisted via a telescopic antenna to increase signal reach.
The antenna should be placed along a vertical steel support which transfers weight to the chassis and he jacks.
Guy-wires should be attachable close to the top to provide additional stability in adverse weather conditions.
